But 65% of startups fail due to cofounder conflicts.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

The state of partnerships today — business and personal — is rough. Too many fail. The ones that don’t are often mired in conflict.

There’s a reason for this. Our understanding of relationships needs an upgrade. Most advice is focused on techniques and strategies. Listen better. Manage your emotions. Communicate more. It all sounds sensible enough.

The problem is… people don’t work that way. In the rough and tumble of real life, even the best techniques go out the window, and we’re left with the raw experience of being human: unmet expectations, incompatible styles, bruised egos, divergent opinions, reactivity and defensiveness, anger and mistrust, and worse.

Left to their own devices, these dynamics consume energy, deplete morale, compromise performance, derail careers, and ultimately, threaten the company itself.

It’s Time For A New Approach.

Dynamic, resilient partnerships do not come from techniques or strategies. They emerge naturally when people gain enough perspective to see beyond themselves to forge authentic connections. That is where the magic happens.

Cofounder Dynamics helps people gain that perspective through shared exploration of the fundamental drivers of successful business partnerships.

How it works.

In a relaxed and conversational dialogue, we will explore a new perspective on the most common and difficult situations partners face every day — one that enables partners to navigate them with resilience.

  • Compatibility. Our personalities are too different. Now what?

  • Performance. My partner isn’t doing enough. How do I deal with that?

  • Vision. What if we don’t see eye to eye on core issues, like the vision and strategy for the business?

  • Values. Sometimes, I don’t think we care about the same things. Is that a bad sign?

  • Work Styles. Can the business thrive if we struggle to collaborate?

  • Communication. I’ve tried communicating, but my partner won’t listen or gets defensiveness.

  • Criticism and Feedback. Every time we give feedback, it turns into an argument.

  • Equity and Fairness. I do most of the work but my partner gets most of the credit.

Through a highly leveraged understanding of human dynamics, cofounders gain a deepened ability to navigate these challenges with resilience.
